Tansa Valley, India—Among the residents of the Tansa Valley, as with any population, there are those who struggle with mental illness. PRASAD Chikitsa has responded with a Mental Health Program, housed in the Anukampaa Health Center.
Founded in 2005, the program now serves more than 80 people each month. The most common diagnoses are, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, psychosis and addiction.
PRASAD’s humanitarian approach is holistic and comprehensive. We strive to nurture every community as a whole, as well as the mind, body and spirit of each resident. Within PRASAD’s robust spectrum of programs, the Mental Health Program is an unusual, and sophisticated, expression of this philosophy.
On behalf of those who benefit from it, we thank you for helping to make the Mental Health Program a reality.
