How Your Contribution Makes a Difference
PRASAD is dedicated to uplifting people living in poverty by helping them to craft long-term solutions to challenges that have plagued them for many generations. Your donations become the healthcare materials, training and micro-credit loans that fuel sustainable, community-wide economic, educational, environmental, health and agricultural programs. Together, we are changing futures, one person, one family, one village at a time. Here is how your contribution can make a difference:
- $15 is the cost of training one woman’s Self Help Group (comprising 10 – 12 women) for a year in our Micro-Credit and Self-Help Groups, in India
- $58 is the cost of one corrective eye surgery in India.
- $75 provides one student a year’s scholarship for degrees in education, nursing, information technology, art, agriculture, computer science in India.
- $75 is the cost of operating the Muktananda Mobile Hospital, in the inaccessible tribal and poor Adivasi areas of India, two days per week to reach 100 people in need of primary health services and health education.
- $120 provides 1,000 children (ages 0-6) a warm glass of milk with vitamins in India.
- $300 provides a year of quality dental care for one child in New York.
- $120 provides a year’s academic scholarship for one student studying engineering and medicine in India.
- $520 supplies a warm nutritious meal to 65 children and pregnant mothers in India for one month (i.e. 26 days).
PRASAD can do so much with so little, thanks to careful fiscal oversight and a network of extraordinary volunteers that stretches around the globe. On behalf of the 75,000 people whose lives we touch every year, we thank you for your support.
