How Your Contribution Makes a Difference

PRASAD is dedicated to uplifting communities through health, education and sustainable development programs. Your financial donation can support people living in poverty in India and help them help themselves and their communities. Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:

• $15 is the approximate cost of supporting one woman for a year in our micro-credit group in India.
• $33 is the approximate cost of one corrective eye surgery in India.
• $35 is the approximate cost of one corrective eye surgery in Mexico.
• $48 is the approximate cost of one preventative or restorative dental visit with a dentist at our mobile clinic for a child without access to dental care in Sullivan County New York.
• $50 is the approximate cost of a six-month course of treatment for TB.
• $75 provides one student a year’s scholarship towards degrees in education, nursing, information technology, art, agriculture, computer science in India.
• $75 is the approximate cost of operating the Muktanada Mobile Hospital, in the inaccessible tribal and poor Adavasi areas of India, two days per week to reach 100 people in need of primary health services and health education.
• $120 provides 1,000 children (ages 0-6) a warm glass of milk with vitamins.
• $120 provides a year’s academic scholarship for one student studying engineering and medicine in India.
• $520 supplies a warm nutritious meal to 65 children and pregnant mothers for one month.
