A Sea of Empowered Women: Self Help Groups Celebrate Accomplishments
This wonderful photo was taken at Mahila Milan 2008, PRASAD Chikitsa’s program for the Self Help Groups (SHGs) in honor of International Women’s Day. More than 2,000 women took part, offering songs, skits, talks and other activities to celebrate their accomplishments. The focus for this year included educating the next generation and thinking of future generations by preserving the environment.
