about the women of Sagoan Village

Sagoan Village, India—The women of six Self-Help Groups in and around Sagaon are creative, determined and energetic; they have solved a critical water shortage, planted trees and initiated a waste disposal program that includes loans to household that cannot afford to build toilets. Most recently, they asked PRASAD Chikitsa to hold some local Health Camps to teach more people about how to protect their health and environment.

“This is so impressive!” Imelda S.

about PRASAD’s latest initiative: Environmental Awareness Plan:

“This is wonderful news – the environmental awareness program. I’m very pleased to see the involvement of the SHG’s and wish the program every success.” Ralph Y.

about Self-Help Groups

“The Self-Help Groups are my favorite part of PRASAD. The members receive good advice, make wiser choices and have a more powerful voice from a group consensus. The ‘gathering of minds’ is a good way to face life’s challenges.” Carol T.

“Fabulous! : )” Jeannie D.
