The Stories Behind the Smiles: PRASAD Children’s Dental Health Program
For over 27 years, PRASAD Children’s Dental Health Program (PRASAD CDHP) has changed lives. From dental health education to fillings and extractions, two generations of Sullivan County residents have experienced the benefits of conveniently accessible dental care.
Nubia, a Sullivan County resident, is a prime example of PRASAD CDHP’s generational impact. As an eleven-year-old, Nubia faced challenges accessing dental care until her school nurse introduced her to PRASAD CDHP’s mobile clinic. Reflecting on her experience, Nubia shared, “From my very first visit, I felt comfortable. I also appreciated receiving treatment at the school because of my parents’ situation. I had a great experience, and now I bring my children.” Today, Nubia brings her three children, Shane, Amari, and Kai, to the same mobile clinic, continuing the cycle of prioritizing dental health within her family.
