Help Save Lives – Support PRASAD’s Mobile Hospital
I am reaching out to you with an urgent appeal to support PRASAD Chikitsa, our organization committed to addressing the healthcare needs of underserved communities in rural Maharashtra.
The Mobile Hospital, one of PRASAD Chikitsa’s pioneering initiatives launched in 1978, plays a vital role in overcoming various barriers to healthcare access in these underserved communities. Through the Mobile Hospital, PRASAD Chikitsa brings healthcare services directly to the doorsteps of villagers, offering health education, screening, and treatment for chronic diseases such as tuberculosis, malnutrition, and heart disease.
To date, the Mobile Hospital has reached more than 1 million people living in remote villages
I want to share a compelling story that underscores the critical impact of our Mobile Hospital. Meet Sharda, a 60-year-old resident of Chamble village in Palghar District. Sharda visited the Mobile Hospital stop at Dakiwali village presenting symptoms of chronic tingling, numbness, and weakness.
After a thorough examination and clinical evaluation, it was discovered that her blood sugar levels were dangerously high. Further investigations at PRASAD Chikitsa’s Hospital confirmed that Sharda was suffering from diabetes. She was immediately initiated on a treatment regimen. Within a remarkably short period, her blood sugar levels normalized.
Thanks to the timely diagnosis and treatment provided by PRASAD Chikitsa, she is now enjoying a better quality of life. Sharda expressed her gratitude, stating, ” For a poor, elderly patient like me, PRASAD Chikitsa is a boon. I am pleased with the treatment, which has shown excellent results.”
Sharda’s story is just one example of the countless lives transformed by the Mobile Hospital. Through this initiative, we are not only providing essential healthcare services but also empowering individuals with knowledge about their health conditions, enabling them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
PRASAD Chikitsa urgently aims to increase the number of medical visits per year from 3,000 to 6,000 and expand its reach from two to six villages.
